Leaders with faithful followers have learned to educate effectively. To educate effectively, you address your followers’ specific needs. To know your followers’ needs, you spend time with your followers.
The leaders I follow educate me effectively by helping me:
- Belong to a community
- Find practical solutions
- Have opportunities to fulfill a meaningful responsibility
The Greatest Leader said, “Come to me . . . and learn from me. . . . And you will find rest” (Matthew 11:28-30 CEB). Leaders who educate effectively make the challenges of their followers easier.

Laura,
I’ve just started attending the caregiver support group at the Lakeway Church, and your message reminds me that the leaders of that group immediately made me feel welcome and a part of the community. They facilitate discussion that helps each of us share the solutions & ideas we’ve found for our common issues. That, in turn, makes me want to share new things that I learn, giving me a meaningful responsibility to the group. I’m so glad I found this support group!
Great message!
Marilyn
I’m so glad you’ve found that group, Marilyn. It was my lifesaver when I was caregiver to my mom. I will share your appreciation with them! Thanks for chiming in!
